I love the impact we have in seeing lives changed. We get to see a person come through our doors on what might be the worst day of their life, and then, many times, see them experience the best day of their life during their stay with us.

The Mission is about changing lives. It’s exciting to see the change in the life of a Mission guest when they participate in programs that impact their life and it’s exciting to see a donor’s life change when they see the impact their gift has on someone in need.

As the Director of Volunteer Efforts and Education Coordinator at the Mission, I have the privilege and opportunity to meet and disciple many different people from the community. I am thankful that the Mission is a place that provides a new, fresh start for those in need and that through the gifts God has given me, I am able to be a witness to others as well as witness the transformation of lives. Romans 8:28

I love having the opportunity to be at the Mission caring for and helping our guests in their time of need. I especially like being able to talk about God with them. It’s gratifying to see the changes that take place in their lives as they turn to God. James 2:14-26

I love serving my Lord Jesus Christ at GSRM. By making sure the building is in good working order for the guests that stay here, I am showing them they are important and we are all God’s children. Luke 10:27

It is an honor, a privilege, and an ongoing blessing to be a part of what the LORD is doing at the Mission: providing hope and care, restoring lives and dreams, and making disciples of Jesus so to further build His kingdom. 1 Peter 1:3-7

Working for the Mission is a ministry – not a job. People choose to work here because they love the Lord and want to serve Him by serving our neighbors. There is no judgment. We serve everyone who needs help, regardless of circumstance, race, or beliefs, etc. The Mission serves as a loving ‘melting pot’ for people of all denominations: guests, donors, volunteers, and staff. That’s what originally drew me to the Mission. That and seeing firsthand how real people are getting real help is why I stay. Matthew 25:35-40

I love and value being a part of the Mission because we have the opportunity to see lives change as guests come in thinking they have no hope and finding hope in Jesus as they began to see Him working through the staff as well as the volunteers here at the Mission. 2 Corinthians 5:21 – He made Him who knew no sin to become sin so that we may become the righteousness of God.

The Mission is a great place to work because I can share my faith and what the Lord has done for me on a daily basis. I enjoy creating nutritious, appetizing meals by using the sacrificial donations from the community. Psalm 73:28
